Sustained Investigation


The sustained investigation is a focused pursuit of a particular concept.  During your investigation, you may change your idea and that is fine as long as in the end you are able to present a body of work that is interconnected in some way.  There are many ideas you could pursue.  You may take on a particular photographic technique (portraits, landscapes, textures, photo montage, hand painting images, etc.) or you could pursue a particular theme (social issue, adventure, effects of the pandemic, etc.).

2020

These are portfolios submitted to AP in 2020.  AP changed their portfolio this year so you will notice a difference from previous years.  Additionally, with COVID-19 campus shutdowns, AP reduced the number of images that needed to be turned in for the Sustained Investigation from 15 to 10 images and from 5 to 3 images for Selected Works.
