Some of these tutorials mention the Moment App.  This is an app for mobile devices that allow you to manually control certain setting on your mobile device camera.  All tutorials have demonstrations on how to use these tools with a Canon Rebel DSLR and the Moment App.  You do not need to download the Moment App, but I use it in the tutorials because it is actually a good teaching tool as you can often see the effects of the tools more easily than just using a DSLR.
